Stable Rules

1.  Helmets are to be worn at all times while handling and riding horses.

2.  Absolutely no smoking behind gate leading to barn and riding areas.

3.  No running or shouting in and around barn and riding areas.

4.  No feeding horses by hand. Plastic treat holders and feeders are available for giving treats or feeding.

5.  All students must be supervised when attending to a horse unless permission has been given. No entering a stall or arena unless authorized to do so.

6.  No strollers, toddlers or babies allowed beyond gate leading to barn and riding areas.

7.  Do not leave horses unattended in cross-ties.

8.  If a rider is under 18, they must be supervised while riding by a parent or guardian.

9.  Proper footwear is required dress. No open toed shoes allowed while handling or riding a horse.

10.  When riding in the grass arena, an ASTM/SEI approved protective vest should be worn when trotting, cantoring or galloping. They are available for use at NO Charge and located on hangers in the barn.

Emergency Information

1.  The fire extinguisher is located in barn behind swinging saddle pad racks.
It is red.

2.  The emergency first aid kit is located in the barn on shelf over the bridles on the right.
It is
Blue.

The following riders/boarders are certified by Heartsaver First Aid in the America Heart Association curriculum for:
                    A.  Adult First Aid
                    B.  Environmental Emergencies
                    C.  Adult/Child CPR with mask
                    D.  Adult/Child AED
                    E.  Infant CPR with Mask
